Today, I have started creating video guides to some of the Java exercises in the book. This wasn’t something that I had initially planned on doing when I started the Java unit, but due to my new role at school, I wanted to provide the students with some additional guidance on their assignments.

This trend of mine may eventually work it’s way towards the “Flip Method” of teaching. I don’t want the videos to be the sole source of material that the students use, but as a primer for what I am going to discuss in the next class. I am sure that my podcasts will get fancier and more professional looking as I progress, but right now my goal is to give my students another resource from a voice and face that they are familiar with.
