{"id":1845,"date":"2012-08-31T05:41:38","date_gmt":"2012-08-31T05:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cteeducator.wordpress.com\/?p=277"},"modified":"2012-08-31T05:41:38","modified_gmt":"2012-08-31T05:41:38","slug":"links-from-class-today-8-30-12","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mr-statucki.com\/?p=1845","title":{"rendered":"Links from Class Today &#8211; 8-30-12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In addition to the normal classroom procedures of visiting the class <a href=\"http:\/\/mr-statucki.com\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, the following new links\/tools were introduced in my class today:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edmodo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Edmodo<\/a> &#8211; After taking a three year hiatus from Edmodo, I have returned to using this web tool in my class. I plan to use it primarily for my class warm-ups. I generally ask a question or have the students read and respond to an article to start off each class. I have been using Google Groups for the last couple of years, but more of our teachers are using Edmodo and the students are very familiar with it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/evernote.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Evernote<\/a> &#8211; While I use Evernote for almost everything, I am putting a bigger focus on getting links, notes, images, etc. into a shared notebook for my students to access resources for class. During my junior class, the quick overview on the resources digressed into why I use Evernote and the great things that students can use it for. I may have convinced a few students to try it.
